Niranjan Bharathi is a poet, film lyricist and a descendant of the Renaissance poet Mahakavi Subramanya Bharathi.

Son of Rajkumar Bharathi, the great grandson of Mahakavi Bharathi and the renowned musician.

Academically he is a qualified engineer and a management graduate, but his passion and love lies with Tamil and its acclaimed literary works.

He channelizes his passion for the language in myriad ways. Poet, Lyricist, Columnist, Speaker, Tamil teacher and the list is growing.

Niranjan made his debut into the Tamil tinsel world with his song “”கண்ணாடி நீ கண் ஜாடை நான்” in the film Mangatha which won him the Best Upcoming Lyricist Award from BIG FM and Best Debut Lyricist Award from Radio Mirchi.

Vadacury, Chennai – 28 Part2, Sema Botha Agathey, Vanangamudi, Kalidas and Pyaar Prema Kadhal are some of the other films that he has worked .

Niranjan has also penned lyrics for TV serials, Dance Ballets, Individual songs and Music Albums. He also written narration scripts for Dance Ballets.

He published his first Tamil poetry book titled “Vaname Un Ellai Enna” in January 2009, with a foreword from the legendary Poet Vaali.

Niranjan has been honored with the prestigious “Annam” award from the Tamil Literary body, Illakkiya Veedhi.

His literary articles have been published in leading Tamil magazines and newspapers.

Apart from giving motivational and literary lectures in schools and colleges, he also takes Tamil classes over the internet.

Niranjan strives to fulfill his dream to develop Tamil and to get flourished by Tamil.
